Triplets and twins were successfully delivered at Jane Furse Hospital this week.
The Limpopo health MEC, Phophi Ramathuba, has congratulated Jane Furse Hospital midwives who supported their doctors in ensuring that triplets and twins were delivered safely through normal delivery procedures at the hospital.
Manaleng Phina (22) gave birth to triplets (two girls and one boy) at 23:35, 23:41 and 23:44 last night, May 9. The two girls each weigh 2kg and the boy 3kg.
Meanwhile, Gladys Komane (26) delivered twin boys at 03:38 and 04:10. The first baby weighs 2.2kg and the second one 3kg.
“We congratulate the two mothers for being blessed with triplets and twins. We are glad that the moms and babies are well and in good health. We applaud the midwives and doctors for their efforts. As a province, we declared 2023 as a year of primary healthcare, mainly to improve access to quality healthcare to women and their unborn babies, which will reduce their mortality,” said Ramathuba.
