A REDDITOR has shared the worst baby names to be given to twin siblings, including a flower and an ethnicity.
The poster said the monikers would be acceptable separately, but for both brother and sister, they’re a disaster.
“Worst twin names I’ve ever heard,” Reddit user RaenShadow00 wrote.
The Redditor specified that she sometimes checks YouTube for baby name videos when she can’t sleep.
“I heard twin names tonight that bothered me so much I have to share,” she said.
“Iris (f) and Irish (m),” RaenShadow00 revealed.

“Both these names are fine but together they are both ruined,” she added.
Other Redditors agreed that the names were unfortunate, and shared their two cents in the thread.
Some said the names are bad even if used separately.
“I’d argue that naming a kid Irish is not ‘fine.’ Nobody’s calling their kid English, Welsh, Scottish or Canadian either,” one wrote.
“Every time you had to introduce yourself, it would probably confuse the hell out of other people,” another replied. “‘Hi, I’m Irish.’ ‘Ok but what’s your name?’ ‘I’m Irish.'”
Others expressed concern for the children themselves having to live with such similar-sounding names.
“I will never, ever understand why the desire to name twins (or really any siblings, but especially twins) names that sound so similar,” one commented.
“You want to give your kid a ‘special name’ that no one else in their class has, but are willing to doom them to having their name mixed up with their sibling for their entire lives?” they added.
“I definitely don’t think Irish is a good name for a kid lol. Iris is pretty, but I’ve always despised overly matchy names on siblings or twins,” another wrote.
“I feel like it takes away their individuality, especially because siblings (especially twins) are always compared and lumped together so much,” they added.
