Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah was being hosted in the Kiririmbi show, a political show that Gachuri hosted every Sunday.
As Gachuri’s Kiririmbi show was ongoing, they all stormed the studio leaving the seasoned journalist lost for words as the boys, Marcus and Curtis, went to his side and they hugged him.
Gachuri and the lawmakers recounted the show’s six-year journey and also congratulated him on his new appointment.
“These are my sons. He is Curtis David Munyua Gachuri, and he is in Grade Six. This is Marcus Mbugua Gachuri. Marcus is actually older than Curtis, but they are twins. There is also another girl who is in high school,” he said on Inooro TV.
He asked the boys to say a word, and Marcus congratulated him on his new appointment.
