In January, the family jetted out to join the ski set in Courchevel, where Hamdan took his toddlers sledging and showcased his skills on the slopes, before travelling to the UK. More recently, the crown prince shared a post welcoming the President of Egypt to Dubai.
Crown Prince Hamdan is one of 12 children born to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and the Ruler of Dubai, and his senior wife, Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. Educated in Dubai, the Crown Prince graduated from Sandhurst in 2001 and later enrolled in the London School of Economics. He has been Crown Prince of Dubai since 2008. His elder brother, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammedm, died suddenly of a heart attack in 2015, aged 33.
The crown prince and his wife married on 15 May 2019, on the same day as his brothers, Maktoum and Ahmad. All three couples celebrated their royal weddings with an extravaganza at the Dubai World Trade Centre the following month.
