The body of a young boy found early Thursday has been positively identified as the second twin brother who went missing while swimming Sunday afternoon near the Pleasure Pier in Galveston.
A local resident had been walking along the beach, noticed the body and called 911. Just after 1 a.m. emergency responders pulled the body of the young boy from the water near 47th Street, said Lt. Austin Kirwin, of Galveston Island Beach Patrol.

Investigators then notified the family, Kirwin said.
Forensic examiners have positively identified the body found Thursday as that of the missing Jeferson Eduardo Osorto Perez, 13, according to John “D.J.” Florence, chief investigator with the Galveston County Medical Examiner.
Thursday’s discovery came after investigators Tuesday found the body of the first twin, later identified as Edwardo Josue Osorto Perez, 13, Florence said.
Perez and his twin brother were part of an Honduran family and had been in the country less than a month, Florence said.
The 13-year-old boys were last seen on the west side of the Pleasure Pier around 4:30 p.m. Sunday. A family member called 911 around 5:30 p.m. to report them missing, according to the Galveston Island Beach Patrol.
No one saw the boys go underwater, Beach Patrol officials said.
