Dwayne and Wayne Haneline are 74-year-old twins who have been making headlines since birth.
They were born on Nov. 4, 1947 in a flurry of sleet and snow in Davie County, North Carolina. The weather was so bad that their father had to escort the delivery doctor and nurse down the rural road to their home on a tractor.
Since they were young, the two have had fun together and continue to turn heads, including on TikTok.
The Hanelines, who are veterans and grew up in Cana, started their TikTok channel to show off their dance moves and spread positivity and gospel with others. It’s now a venture that millions of people are watching.
It all started when Wayne’s daughters asked him to be in a TikTok video, WXII reported.
“She said, ‘I want you to do some dance videos for TikTok.’ And I said, ‘What are you talking about?’” Wayne told WXII. “The grandkids love it and the children love it. We haven’t won our wives over yet. They are tolerating it and I love them for it.”
“I can watch you two everyday, y’all rock,” one person commented.
“Watching this makes me just smile from ear to ear, don’t ever stop or slow down,” another said.
The Haneline twins have over 487,000 followers on TikTok. Some of their most-viewed videos include them grooving to modern, trendy dances and feeding into the youthful humor of TikTok.
They’ve garnered so many followers that some people recognize them in person.
“One woman came up and said, ‘You don’t know me, but I know you.’ And she said, ‘I had breast cancer and through your videos, making me laugh, watching your TikToks and your humor and laughter and light brought me through my cancer treatment.’ And that to me is payday,” Dwayne told WXII.
Cana is about 25 miles southwest of Winston-Salem.
